Matt Bishop (known in Formula 1 circles as ‘the Bish’) has been Head of Communications and Public Relations for the McLaren Group, since January 2008.

Under 'The Bish', no sooner has an 'errant' article appeared than the email or text arrives, or, in extreme cases, the phone will ring... loudly!.

He has worked closely with the 2009 Formula One World Champion Jenson Button, Button's team-mate at McLaren Kevin MagnussenMcLaren Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ron Dennis and the McLaren Formula One team's Racing Director and Sporting Director, Eric Boullier and Sam Michael.

Previously, he had been Editor in Chief of the Formula One magazineF1 Racing leading it on to become the best selling Formula One magazine in the world.

Bishop introduced a series of celebrity columnists to F1 Racing, including Murray WalkerDamon HillJenson Button and many more.

His flamboyant personality and prolific writing, coupled with strong ties within the paddock, has made him one of the best known and most powerful motorsport journalists in the world.
